Iron percentage the surface and the underground water increase when there is changes inside the earth. For example, when the subducted primordial crust, resting under the bottom of the upper mantle descended towards the core mantle boundary, mantle plumes ascended front the lower mantle to the upper mantle. Also, #iron and other elements are pushed into the upper layer of the earth which would makes the water contaminated with the elements. It helps the intracellular pathogens already exists rarely in the earth lives to infect and spread widely.
